With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Sharon Ormsby, a devoted mother, "Grammy", sister, and friend. Sharon passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2025

Born in Endicott, New York, Sharon had a kind, generous heart and left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Though she lived in many places throughout her life, the last two decades were spent between the homes of her son and daughter in Florida– surrounded in life by the family she cherished.

Sharon was a simple soul who found joy in life's quiet moments. She was happiest sitting back and observing the world around her – whether enjoying a calm afternoon sitting pool side with a cup of coffee, playing bingo, or watching her favorite cooking shows. Her family delighted in the chaos of everyday life, loved being silly just to make her laugh.

She is survived by her son Kenneth Carrigan (Kacey), daughter, Julie Owens, and son-in-law, Robert Owens; sister, Carol McCarthy; and her much-loved grandchildren, Lane Carrigan, Leila Schuman-Carrigan, Ridge Carrigan, Taylor Rambus, Jenna Owens, and Christopher Owens.

Sharon is predeceased by her mother Laurel Rudin and a very special niece, Marissa McCarthy, and believed she would be reunited with them in heaven.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
