Sharon Marie (nee McAnany) Bottiglieri- Polites passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2025. Sharon was born to Miriam (nee Myers) Barretta and the late Hugh McAnany in Darby, PA.

Sharon went to Kingsway Regional High School in Swedesboro, NJ. She went on to attend Delaware County Technical Schools Practical Nursing Program where she graduated first in her class. She was a dedicated nurse and worked at several nursing homes in Delaware County. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed music, going to the beach, and spending time with friends. Her sons and granddaughters were the pride and joy of her life. She lived most of her adult life in Delaware County, and enjoyed the later years of her life with her devoted husband, Tony.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father Hugh McAnany and her son Michael Svitak.

Sharon is survived by her husband Anthony Polites of Chester, PA, her son William (Liz) Svitak of Honey Brook, PA, her mother Miriam (William) Barretta of Logan Twp., NJ, her adoptive father who raised her, Vincent Bottiglieri of Mullica Hill, NJ, her 6 siblings, Patti (Brent) Squires of Lexington, SC, Stephen (Joanna) Bottiglieri of Mickleton, NJ, Michael (Monica) Bottiglieri of Logan Twp., NJ, Daniel (Ashley) Schmidt of Clarksboro, NJ, Hugh (Amber) McAnany of Media, PA, and Valarie McAnany of Media, PA. She is also survived by her 3 granddaughters Peyton Svitak, Nellie Svitak, and Jordyn Svitak.

Sharon will be dearly missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10:00am - 11:15am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 5980 Chichester Ave. Aston, PA 19014 Memorial Service: Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:30am at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home. Burial: Private
