It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Ann Shackelford, who left us on July 15, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on December 11, 1948, in Porterville, LA, Sharon lived a vibrant life marked by her love for her family and friends.
A woman of deep faith, Sharon found immense joy in her church community. She relished shopping and traveling, always embracing new experiences and adventures. Her laughter and warmth will be sorely missed. She was especially fond of spending time with Tater Tot, who brought joy and laughter into her life.
Sharon was known fondly by her friends and family as the "Cajun Roadrunner," a name she earned during her time as a truck driver. Her adventurous spirit and unwavering determination were qualities that defined her life, leaving a lasting impression on all those who knew her.
Sharon will be remembered as a devoted mother and sister, cherished by her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Tricha Breaux and her husband Ricky, her sons Allen Leger Jr. and wife Karon and Ronnie Leger and wife Florence, and her sister, Connie Waulk. Her kindness, vibrant spirit, and love for life touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents George and Theresa Voiselle; her husband, James Shackelford; one son, Eric Leger; one brother, Randle Voiselle; and two sisters Barbra Smallwood and Brenda Moore.
