Sharon P. Stull passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from complications of a stroke at Amherst Meadows in Massillon, Ohio.
She was born in Lewis County, West Virginia on September 4, 1945 to the late Walter and Euleta Jones. She eloped with the love of her life Dean Stull on January 31, 1964, in Virginia and they shared 60 years of marriage. While in West Virginia, they had Sheila then moved to Ohio and had Sandy. In 1972, they relocated to Massillon and raised their family in a loving home. While in Massillon, Sharon worked at several local bowling alleys including Lincoln Way Lanes, Sports Bowl, and Star Way Lanes. She also worked at Walmart where she retired from. After retirement, she enjoyed working around the yard and watching her hummingbirds on the porch with her husband on quiet evenings at their home. She loved watching the Indians, Browns, Cavs, and Buckeyes with Dean. She was especially proud of her grandchildren Shana, Stephanie, Jeremy, and Jacob and all they have accomplished. She enjoyed cooking special meals for them especially from the garden that Dean meticulously cultivated. Sharon loved holidays and would put out decorations for each one and entertain the family at their home. Nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren at the house. When her great grandchildren were born, she was so overjoyed that she did what any great grandmother would do, she spoiled them and loved them so much.
Sharon leaves behind her daughters Shelia Villilo (Glen) and Sandy Long; grandchildren Shana Holzer (Blaise), Stephanie Etter, Jeremy Long (Hannah Mayle), and Jacob Long (Regina Blue); great grandchildren Fitz Holzer, Mac Holzer, and Duke Holzer; siblings Paul Jones (Judy), Mary Bower (Dink), Judy Westfall, Charlotte "Teak" Robinson (Terry), Nick Jones (Terry), and Debbie Varner (Terry).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dean Stull; parents Walter and Euletta Jones; siblings Bill Jones, John Jones, JR Jones and Kathryn "Kookie" Harris.
Sharon fought until the end, but the complications from the stroke were too much. She was a warrior in the truest sense, and we were so proud of her battle. We were all inspired by her will to live.
We would like to thank the unbelievable care that she received from the staff at Amherst Meadows for their unconditional love and support that they gave her for the past 10 months.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 from 12:00PM – 1:00PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, OH 44646, where funeral services will follow at 1:00PM. Interment will immediately follow at Brookfield Cemetery of Massillon. The family invites everyone to join them for lunch at Sons and Daughters of Herman, 1994 Deermont Ave., Massillon, OH 44647, after the burial.
