Death Notice

Sharon Lee Tate

1946 - 2022

Sharon Tate, 76, went to be with her family in heaven, on December 24, 2022.
She was born August 25, 1946 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Ernest & Edith Hoover. She married Charles Schockman in 1964 and started her family. They later divorced and she raised her children (Lisa, Mary & Mike Schockman).
She worked at Selover Honda for years in the Service Department. During this time, she met the love of her life, best friend, and best fishing and hunting partner James R Tate. All of their children were grown so they started their traveling & fishing adventures. She loved to fish and was very good at it.
Winnett, Montana is where she called home base. They wintered in Texas, and for the past 10 years they had a winter home in Florida.
She loved all of her family. She was a great mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She will be deeply missed each and every day.
Sharon is survived by her husband James R. Tate; her children Lisa (Bill) Weaver, Mary Schockman,
Mike Schockman, Steven Tate, Susan Tate & James Tate; brothers Jim (Cheryl) Hoover, Richard (Suzi) Iverson; sisters Carolyn Vahn, Mary (Ralph) Murphrey, Pat (Earl) Williams, Barb Rains, and Pam Schreier; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Michael (Hannah) Clause, Alisha (Will) Smith, Paul Schockman, Devin Schockman, Crystal Hansen, John Tate, Steve Tate, Summer Tate, Ryan Tate & Ceri Hofferber; great-grandchildren Landon Clause, Zachary Helmts, Michael R.
