Sharon Fay (Mehlberg) Thimmig, 90, of Oostburg, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Rocky Knoll Heath Care Center.
She was born to Raymond and Florence (Grade) Mehlberg on August 17, 1934 in Sheboygan. She graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1952.
Sharon was united in marriage to Kenneth Thimmig on June 26, 1954, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Ken and her owned and operated their family dairy farm for over 35 years.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lutheran Chorus of Sheboygan and the Lakeshore Chorale. Together, Ken and Sharon enjoyed going polka dancing and attending polka bands in the area. She also enjoyed cooking, cleaning, traveling, gambling, playing sheepshead and shopping with her daughter.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) TenDolle of Oostburg, son, Gary Thimmig of Mt. Calvary; son-in-law, Spencer Kaesermann of Oostburg; grandchildren, Matthew TenDolle, Jeffrey TenDolle, Brian (Lilly) Verhelst, Kyle Verhelst, Angela (Robert) Boenisch, Rachel (Derek) Loehr, Brenda (David) Cook, Michael (Danielle) Thimmig; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Linden, and Zendaya TenDolle, Abigail Verhelst, Morgan (Derric) Wilkinson, Taylor Boenisch, Caleb, Carter, William, Natalie, and Nicholas Loehr, Jacob, Emmalynn and Henry Cook, Colin and Mackenzie Thimmig. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon Mehlberg and Delores VanDeLoo, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ken, her daughter, Susan Kaesermann; parents; parents-in-law, Harry and Louisa (Meyer) Thimmig; brother, Thomas Mehlberg; step-mother-in-law, Anastasia Mehlberg; brothers-in-law, Clarence VanDeLoo, and Walter Reklaitis; sister-in-law, Grace Reklaitis.
A funeral service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sheboygan on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12:00pm. Sharon will be will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Ken at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 10:00am until the time of service.
Memorials are appreciated in Sharon’s name to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
