Sharon L. Thompson (nee Maxwell), 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away surrounded by her family, at Danbury of North Ridgeville on Sunday March 8, 2026. She was born September 5, 1944 in Newcomerstown, Ohio. She had resided in North Ridgeville since 1966. Sharon enjoyed quilting and she was forever a caregiver. Sharon is survived by: two sons, Patrick Thompson (Era), and Glendon Thompson (Cindy); five grandchildren, Christine Norman (Ben), Nicholas Thompson, Katherine Kiminski (Trevor), Scott Thompson, and Matthew Thompson; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Watkins, and Cindy Dalton; three brothers, Michael (Barbara), John (Donna), and Steve Maxwell; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Glendon Thompson Sr.; her son, Richard Thompson; her parents, Arthur and Betty (nee Mardis) Maxwell; two sisters, Susan Sawyer, and Barbara Cahill; and a brother, James Maxwell. The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 17, 2026 from 12:30pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:30pm at Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Brian Burke from North Eaton Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Fields Cemetery in North Ridgeville. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or the Lorain County Fire Chiefs Mental health Fund, 430 S. Main Street, Oberlin, OH 44074.
