Sharon Upperco

I was just thinking about this memory a few weeks ago...I was sitting next to Sharon at church as a very awkward pre-teen/early teenager, and she turned to me and asked me to look her in the eye as she told me that I was an incredibly beautiful young girl. I was surprised to hear her say that and very quick to deny it, but she insisted that she was right. 30-some years later and the memory is still so vivid and I recognize that it had a very positive influence on how i saw myself after that day. I was blessed to have her in my life on a fairly regular basis through Jr high, high school and college. The way she loved on her kids and their friends was inspiring and influences me now with my own kids and their friends. Thank you Sharon for being you, the person God designed you to be.
