Sharon Dewberry Vijande

Sharon Dewberry Vijande, 78, of Woodstock, GA passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Sharon was born on August 31, 1947, in Ft. Pierce, FL to Betty (Dewberry) Houston and William Dewberry.

Sharon graduated from Statesboro High School in 1965. She later attended Katherine Gibbs College in Boston, MA and loved her time there. She worked as a secretary in Atlanta for several years before deciding to stay home with her children full time. Sharon married Jim Vijande on March 24, 1979. More than anything, she loved spending time with her children and beloved grandchildren. She loved being at the barn with her daughters and traveling to horse shows together. Her favorite place has always been Fripp Island, SC, and she made many wonderful memories there through the years. Sharon lived life with vitality, and she loved fiercely. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her son, Joey, her brother, Billy, and her sister, Deborah. Survivors include daughters Katie (Michael) Cromwell and Laura (Caleb) Ruiz; grandchildren, Allie, Aubrey, and Carson Cromwell and Morgen, Abbie, and Gunner Ruiz; sister, Becky (Spencer) Peterson.
