Sharon Diane Williams, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away surrounded by the people she loved so dearly in her home June 28th, 2024.
Sharon was born on October 18th, 1941, to Homer and Julie Hall. Sharon grew up in a large family and was blessed with 5 sisters. But Thelma, Ada, Edith, Betty, Jean, and Sharon weren't just family – they were the closest of friends throughout the entirety of all their lives. Sharon graduated from high school in 1959 and shortly thereafter married the love of her life, James Edward Williams, on October 23rd, 1959. James and Sharon went on to build a beautiful life together of almost 65 years. They welcomed their son Jebb Williams into the world on September 15th, 1961, completing their little family.
Following the closure of James's workplace, the couple relocated to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where they made their home for approximately 20 years. Sharon looked back on her time in Alabama fondly, but when failing family health required the William's to move back to Oklahoma, the family packed up their life and moved back, without hesitation.
Together – together is the best word to describe Sharon's life. Whether it was together with her relationship with the Lord, together with James, or together with the family, Sharon didn't think of herself independently, but instead, always thought of herself within the scope of how her life fit in with those that she loved. Although Sharon was tough and opinionated (and had no problem letting everyone know what her opinion was) if she loved you – she loved you with every fiber of her being.
When she wasn't together with James or the family, you could find her tending to her flowerbeds or helping the church with various functions and dinners. She and James were members of the First Baptist Church in
Miami, Oklahoma, and greatly enjoyed attending Sunday School, not surprisingly, together.
Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and sacrifice and will forever be remembered by those that were lucky enough to meet her. She is survived by her husband, James, her son Jebb, sisters, Edith, Jean, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
"Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear."
