Sharron Kay Barker

Sharron Kay Barker, age 63, of Manila, the widow of Mr. C.L. Barker died Saturday at the NEA/Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Manila she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillie Mae Williams Carter and had been a lifelong Manila resident. She was a Class of 1964 graduate of Manila High School, a member of the Business Women of Manila, was retired from Merchant and Planters Bank in Manila after 36 years of service. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila and was active in the Methodist Womens Group until her illness prevented her from doing so. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 brother Carroll Willard Carter in 2003 and her Step-father, D.A. Walker. She is survived by: 2 Nieces: Cindy Bunch and Donna McCormick both of Manila She also leaves her Great-nephew, Carl Richard Bunch of Manila Funeral Services will be 2PM Tuesday in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Ray Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6 until 8PM at the funeral home. Serving as active Pallbearers will be, Tommy Towels, Danny Robbins, Victor Byrd, David Garner, Wayne Wagner, Jerry Hitchcock, Clifford Browning, Larry Browning, Jerry Curnett, Dennis Farmer and Wayne Cochran. Honorary Pallbearers will be Max Schrader, Jim Cheadle, Bob White, Jimmy Henry, Neal Wayne Oates, Alan Oates, Larry Hicks, Bobby Moore and Bobby Tucker.
