Sharron Allen Searson, 82, of Charleston entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 16, 2024. She was the wife of the late William B. Searson, III, and the daughter of the late Kenneth S. Allen and the late Roseann (Dill) Allen of Lansing, Michigan. She was born on May 20, 1941 in Lansing, Michigan.
Mrs. Searson graduated from Vandercook Lake High School in Jackson, Michigan in 1959. She obtained her LPN Certificate and was employed by Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan for 10 years, she and her previous husband and children relocated to Beaufort, SC in 1977. She was employed by the Marine Corps at Parris Island in the Post Exchange finance department. She loved craft-work, especially painting, cross-stitch and flowers.
Mrs. Searson is survived by her two children, Denise Ann Jones (Michael) of WIlliamsburgh, VA, and David Allen Graham (Anna) of Beaufort, SC; four step-children: Andrea L. Searson of Charleston, SC, Hope S. Picquet (LaMotte) of Hollywood, SC, William B. Searson, IV (Sherry) of Ravenel, SC, and Tracy S. Causby (Mike) of Charleston, S; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill Searson, III; a daughter, Sherrie Lyn Boatwright (Robert) of Saluda.
A visitation of friends and family will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024 at James A. Dyal Funeral Home with from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm in the chapel. Burial will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 3:00pm at Christ St. Paul's cemetery in Meggett, SC.
