My heart is broken. Sending prayers to the Santucci family and all of his wonderful friends. He was so loved! I will miss his encouragement and caring soul. Todd recalls playing sports with him from a very young age and I cheered them on in High School. Rest easy my friend, until we meet again..

I had to comment after reading another message left. I too clearly can remember Shaun sticking up for bullied children and that memory has stayed with me my entire life. Every once in a while I'd bump into Shaun and he was always very nice and pleasant to talk to. May he Rest In Peace.

As a classmate of LHS class of 85, Saun was the only person I know that was so enthusiastic in a History class. He made a lot of us laugh. Rest peacefully.

I can remember walking into 5th grade homeroom at Southeast for the first time and meeting Mr. Santucci. He greeted everyone enthusiastically and mentioned that we were his first class. I think we were all shocked at not only how young he was but also how cool he was. I had never experienced a teacher like him. I was a small, quiet, bullied child and when I was picked on most teachers smirked and turned their back. Mr. Santucci reprimanding kids for picking on me is my first memory of a teacher sticking up for me. It has never left me and never will. Over 25 years ago, Shaun Santucci actually made me feel like I belonged and for that he will always be my favorite teacher! Rest in Peace

Shaun was a sweet kind man with so much love for life. He and I shared our cancer stories and even in his darkest days he would have such heartfelt words of advice and encouragement. Rest easy my friend - you will forever be in my heart!
