Shaunita L. Cavanaugh, 71, of Logansport, passed away at her daughter’s residence in Squaw Lake, MN on Tuesday August 8, 2023.
Born December 15, 1951, in Logansport, IN to Keith Edward and Myra (DeHaven) Altice.
Shaunita retired from Kaufman Industries and had also worked at Essex Inc. and was a former Candy Striper. She enjoyed bowling, the outdoors and social butterfly. Shaunita enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports.
Survivors include one daughter, Janelle K. (Rick) Denny, Squaw Lake, MN; mother, Myra Altice, Logansport; four grandchildren, Katrina M. Neuendorf, Logansport and Malorie A. Neuendorf, Indianapolis; Amber Pugh, Logansport; Ricky (Lacey) Denny, Squaw Lake, MN; former husband, Lawrence V. Cavanaugh Sr., Logansport; 7 great grandchildren; one brother, Robin (Pam) Altice, CA; one sister: Dar (Matt) Muehlhausen, West Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, JR Cavanaugh and her father Keith Altice.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 Wednesday August 16, 2023, in Main Street Community Church, 19 East Main Street in Logansport with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Johns Cemetery Near Logansport.
A visitation will be held from 3-7 pm Tuesday August 15, 2023, also in the Main Street Community Church.
