Shavonne Hayes Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 30, 2026.
Shavonne Hayes, loving wife and mother of five children, suddenly passed away on March 15, 2026 in Detroit, at just 41 years of age, after suffering significant physical pain and effects of a number of health issues for years. Her faith in Christ and love for her family and friends brought her through the challenges while her quiet, joyful demeanor and thoughtfulness and compassion for others encouraged and brought joy those she knew. She leaves her husband, Anton Spann, and their five children, Shavonne, Anton, Shaton, Latrice, and Antrice. Her loving family desires to provide a respectful and prayerful funeral and burial for her, but are limited by income. Shavonne and Anton had just their respective disability incomes, and are seeking assistance to pay for funeral and burial expenses.

The funeral will be at St. Augustine St. Monica Catholic Church in Detroit, with representation from New Love Temple, both of which she was attending remotely. The burial which is planned for a nearby cemetery accessible to the family, requires a custom-made larger casket and a larger vault and plot, requiring extra costs. Total costs at present are $12,743.00 to be paid directly to the funeral home. Click HERE to donate online to the crowd funding campaign set up for these expenses
