My deepest condolences to Shawn's family on his passing. We served together in Hawaii when he was a new lieutenant in the battalion. He was energetic and excited to begin his Marine Corps journey. I hope you are at peace. Semper Fidelis

I did not have the honor of meeting Shawn, but feel i did know him because of all the love, support, and pride reflected in the descriptions and stories of him from his loving parents, grandparents, and favorite uncle. Rest in Peace Shawn.

When Shawn was about 11 or so, (my daughters would have been about 7ish) we were celebrating Christmas at my Aunt Dorthy and Uncle Ron´s) we still did that back then... We hadn´t opened presents yet and the little ones were bored.

My cousin Todd and I taught them a version of Monopoly that we used to play when we were little... called"Monopoly Anything Goes." Shawn was a natural tycoon. He won and I remember what a keen little business savage he was and how his eyes twinkled when he made a deal and scored the "double rent."

I knew, way back then, Shawn was going to be a contributor; a doer; someone that made a difference. And he did not prove any of us wrong.

When I look at pictures of him in his USMC uniform and business attire, nearly 50 years old... I can still see those twinkling eyes some 40 Christmas´ ago. This world was a better place with Shawn in it and he will be missed.

Safe travels to the next part of your journey. Semper Fi.

Shawn was an incredible, intelligent, strong, sweet, understanding man. We had many long, deep, and often funny conversations together which I will miss deeply and hold close to my heart forever. I love you and miss you Shawn more than words can say. Rest in peace sweetheart

Shawn was always a pleasure to have in group. His outlook and enthusiasm brought joy to many of us older members. He was a kind and bright soul, and he shall be missed. Rest easy, Shawn.
