Shawn Faller

Shawn D. Faller, 41 of West Fargo, ND passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Lilac Homes in Moorhead. Shawn was born on September 13, 1974 in Fargo, ND to David and Judith (Rehling) Faller. He grew up in West Fargo and graduated from West Fargo High School. Immediately after high school Shawn started working for Weisgram Metal Fabrication assembling beet pilers in the summers while attending MSUM. In 1995 he started working full time in the fabrication department running many different kinds of machines. With the help of his co-workers he learned how to weld, which he came to love and worked as a welder until he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2007. Treatment and surgery caused him to step down from welding and take a quoting position with Weisgram's. He thrived in this position and enjoyed the new challenges it presented. He was later placed as a quality systems manager. He took great pride in knowing he could continue to contribute to the success of the company in that position. He loved working for Joel and Kay and the Weisgram family. He made many friends who have become like family to him. On May 10, 1997 he married Deanna Hellman and they made their home in West Fargo. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling and watching his girls dance. There also wasn't a fantasy football league that Shawn wouldn't join. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Curt and Janet Faller. Shawn is survived by his wife, Deanna of West Fargo; daughters, Brooklyn, Tatum and Quinn Faller, all of West Fargo; father, David (Doreen) Faller of Detroit Lakes, MN; mother, Judith (Michael) Faller-Scherweit of Detroit Lakes, MN; brother, Matt Faller of Fargo; step-brothers, Brian Moore, Chris Moore, Rob Moore, Steve (Nicci) Scherweit; step-sister, Kristi (Justin) Paquette and countless nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial are preferred to Lilac Homes or Hospice of the Red River Valley. Visitation: Thursday, September 8 from 5-7 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
