Shawn Hauk Obituary
Shawn Littel Hauk, 51, Southport, passed away Sunday, April 13 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1973 in Shelbyville to the late Charles Milton Hauk and Christine (Stephens) Carew.
Shawn attended Shelbyville High School, a member of the class of 1992.
Shawn loved the life he was living. He had risen from the ashes of addiction like a Phoenix and had been sober for over 16 years. He had rebuilt relationships with his family, children and friends.
He was an astounding artist and tattooist. He also enjoyed spending time outside with his dogs, his two boxers, George and Jack. He was grateful for time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Shawn worked with his brother, his best friend, Greg Hauk at Greg Hauk Window Tinting. He had worked extremely hard, 12 hours a day, almost always 7 days a week, to learn the trade from his older brother. Shawn had finally reached the level of master commercial window tinter.
After 32 years apart, Shawn married his high-school sweetheart, Laura (Feller) Hauk. She survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Christine (Tim) Carew of Shelbyville; brother Greg (Sonya) Hauk of Shelbyville, brother Issac (May) Hauk of Tampa, brother Aaron (Rebecca) Hauk of Tampa, sister Carley (Cameron) Hadley of Columbus; son Cameron Hauk of Shelbyville, daughter Jessica Hauk of Shelbyville, daughter LaShonda Hauk of Southport, son Issac Hauk of Shelbyville, son Austin Brown of Toledo, Ohio and son Mason Collins of Franklin. Grandsons, Aiden, Leighton, Sebastian, Greyson, Leon and Austin Jr. "Stink". He also left behind a house full of animals; the dogs: Giselle, Georgie, and puppy Jack; his shoulder-riding velcro cat, Lou-Lou and Haku.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be Monday, April 21, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.
Funeral Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Shawn's family.
