Shawn Pettit

ASHLEY - Shawn M Pettit, 42, of Ashley, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born in Angola, Indiana, on July 27, 1982. Her father is Donald Berry, of Ashley and her mother is Shirley Helen (Bledsoe) Kern, of Avilla.

Shawn worked at Western Powers Sports in Ashley.

She attended Ashley Love Divine Baptist Church in Ashley and was a former member of the Ashley Fire Department.

Shawn married Matthew Pettit on July 2, 2004, in Angola, and he survives.

She is also survived by two daughters, Jessica Roby (Bailey Wies), of Butler and Jasmine Pettit, of Orland; three step-children, James Pettit, of Fremont, Robert Clark, of Waterloo and Adrianna (Landon) Worthington, of El Paso, Texas; a granddaughter, Rosalyn Pettit; stepbrother, Mark Kern, of Fairland, Indiana; and a stepsister, Cheryl Stadfeld, of Kendallville; two special friends, Heather Strite and Heather Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Walt Kern; grandparents, Alice and Winfred Berry, Louise and Johnnie Kerns and Oscar Bledsoe; two uncles and an aunt, Ross Berry, Michael Berry and Cathy Kerns.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, IN 46793, with burial to follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.

Calling is three hours prior to the service on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
