Shawn Marie Secor

Shawn Marie Secor, age 58 of Perry, passed away on Friday March 4, 2022 at Memorial Healthcare Center in Owosso. Funeral services will be held at Watkins Brothers Funeral Home, Perry Chapel, on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the service. Pastor Rey Mondragon will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Plains Cemetery in Shaftsburg.
Shawn enjoyed the comforts of home and spending time with her family. She spent a lot of time chauffeuring her daughters to their various sporting events, and excelled in commentating her eldest daughter Ashley's gymnastics meets. She also could be found at various race tracks, where she loved being part of the "pit crew" for the love of her life, Bobby. Whether it was at a race track, gymnastics meet, sporting event or just every day things, she was always there as her family's #1 fan. She loved to explore the Upper Peninsula, take trips to the zoo and go on long bike rides on country roads. Her favorite color was purple and she never met a cinnamon roll she didn't love. She was a familiar face to many families at Perry Elementary, where she held the role of Secretary for 28 years. Even well into adulthood, she was a daily phone call to both of her daughters, which mostly consisted of reminding her youngest daughter Roxie of something she forgot to do, again. Although a woman of many roles, by far her favorite was that of being Ama to her 4 grandchildren, a role that she loved with her whole heart. The world was a better place because of her.
Shawn is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bobby. Her daughters Ashley (Justin) Bruegge and Roxanna (Jeremy) Jones. Her Mother Shirley Mankin. Her Father Raymond (Rebecca) Juracek. Her Father-in-Law Robert (Karen) Secor. Her siblings Todd (Carol) Juracek and Becky Juracek. Her Grandchildren Aubryn, Anden, Isaac and Zayne.
Shawn was preceded in death by her Father Lewis Fenner, her Step-Father Harold Mankin, her Mother-in-Law Bonnie Secor, her Sister-in-Law Ronda Secor and her Sister-in-Law Rochelle Martin.
