Shawntay Watson was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, cousin, and friend whose life reflected strength and love. She was born on December 22, 1981, and on January 2, 2026, God called her home, granting her eternal rest and peace.
Strong, determined, and fiercely loyal, Shawntay was a protector by nature with an unwavering commitment to her family. She faced life with courage and loved deeply, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Above all, Shawntay treasured her role as a mother and wife, loving her daughters, Tyshi and Maleia, and her husband, Donell Watson, and her two fur babies, Buns & Fluff with an immeasurable and unbreakable love.
During her courageous battle with cancer, Shawntay was lovingly cared for by her cousin, Shar’ree Lewis, whose selfless devotion, compassion, and unwavering presence provided her with comfort, strength, and dignity throughout her journey.
Survived by: daughters, Tyshi and Maleia Green; husband, Donell Watson; parents, Bobby Ann Fletcher and Robert Lexing Jr. (stepfather); siblings, Monica Lexing (preceded in death), Royal Lexing, and TreShaun Fletcher; nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Shawntay now rests in the arms of the Lord, dwelling in His eternal presence.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Sheridan Street Church of God, located at 2303 South Sheridan Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98405.
