Sheila Arlene Appel

Sheila Arlene Appel of Holiday City, Berkeley Twp., passed away on 10/18/2025. Born in Ft. Jay New York, she grew up in Burlington County, NJ. She married Robert W. Appel on 12/31/1960 and lived in Newark NJ, Hillside NJ and moved to Holiday City in November of 2001. They raised 9 Children together before his passing in 3/2008. Sheila is survived by 9 Children and 14 grandchildren. Sheila volunteered at Lakehurst Naval Air Base Thrift Shop for 20 years and was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Mansfield NJ.
Sheila will be remembered as a beacon of love, faith, and strength - a woman who made the world brighter simply by being in it. Her laughter, her kindness, and her unshakable belief in the good of others will live on through the family she cherished so deeply and the many lives she touched along the way.
Sheila will be interned at the William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in a private ceremony on 11/14/2025
The family will be hosting a Celebration of life on 11/15/2025 at The Clarion Hotel in Toms River at 12pm.

Though she has gone home to Heaven, her spirit will remain with us always - in every act of kindness, every shared meal, and every moment of love between those she left behind.
