Sheila dedicated her life to her family, serving as a devoted stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She opened her heart and home to many, often caring for the children of family, friends, and neighbors. Those children found comfort and guidance in her presence, often listening to her words of wisdom more attentively than their own parents. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family, impacting the lives of many within her community.
Those who knew her were aware of her deep love for outdoor adventures; she found great joy in camping and appreciating the beauty of nature. Sheila was well-loved for her culinary skills, particularly her delicious fried chicken and green beans, which brought family and friends together around the table. She also enjoyed shopping, often embarking on trips that would lead to delightful discoveries.
Sheila is survived by her devoted husband, Carl Hatfield Sr., and her loving children, Carl (Cheri) Hatfield Jr. and Lisa (Danny) Brodnick. She took great pride in her grandchildren, Danielle, Brittany (Matt), Jacob (Kayla), Kenzie, and her great-grandchildren, Ava and Grayson. Sheila held a special bond with her nephew, Mike (Stephanie) Wooten, who she regarded as her honorary son.
Her legacy will live on through her beloved sisters: Patty Henderson, Marie Boone, Cathy Lee, Bonnie (Jerry) Peters, and Ruthie (Ronnie) Day, alongside numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to hold her memory dear.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Hunt and Virginia Mae Hunt, as well as her brother, Rick Hunt, and her cherished canine companion, Precious.
Sheila Hatfield will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her love, warmth, and unwavering support.
