In Loving Memory of Sheila Hettman

September 26, 1951 – January 31, 2026

Sheila Hettman, age 74, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cherished member of her family.

Sheila was the beloved wife of Bryan, a loving mother to her son, and a proud grandmother to her treasured granddaughters and grandson. She is also survived by her nieces, Kayla and Karly Schumann; her sister-in-law, Kimberly Schumann; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Throughout her life, Sheila expressed her love most clearly through acts of service and hospitality. Living just around the corner from family, she opened her home night after night, preparing home-cooked meals that nourished not only bodies but hearts. She created a sense of comfort and belonging that shaped the childhood of those around her.

Holidays were especially meaningful in her home. Thanksgiving gatherings were marked by abundant meals thoughtfully prepared from start to finish. Christmas Eve brought her beloved spaghetti, and Christmas Day featured prime rib - a favorite of her brother-in-law, Bill Schumann. Annual traditions, including making fudge together, became treasured family memories because of her dedication and care.

Sheila found her greatest joy in time spent together. Whether hosting family celebrations or simply relaxing on the beach in Maui with nowhere else to be, she valued presence over plans and togetherness above all.

She will be remembered for her generosity, unwavering love, and the traditions she established that will continue for generations. Her legacy lives on in the warmth she created, the meals she shared, and the family she held so close.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
