Webster - Beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. Passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2023. Sheila leaves us with her husband, James Joseph; four siblings, Steve Jackson, Brian (Carol) Jackson, Sharon (Tom) Fink, and Michael (Laura) Jackson; two children, Evan (Londyn) Korol, and Austin (Taylor) Korol; two grandchildren, Jax Korol and Brooks Korol; her niece, Emily Jackson and nephew, Matt Jackson; and her close cousin, Linda Jones along with many other cherished cousins.
Sheila's faith was a very important part of her life. She was a lifelong member of the St. Rita parish, attending daily mass whenever possible. She was a member of their WEROC women's group, bible study, and made strawberry shortcake for the elderly at their recent strawberry social. She also was a part of their Christ Life hospitality team as well as visiting the sick and being a mass coordinator for the 10:30 Sunday mass.
Sheila was the planner and communicator of the family. She enjoyed hosting gatherings of all sorts from their turn at a monthly euchre group to holiday gatherings and birthday celebrations. She was the one to call you at the time of your birth and sing Happy Birthday to you. She loved being a grandmother to her two grandsons.
Sheila was a nature lover and was always working on her gardens as well as the church gardens, planting new plants and flowers, weeding, snipping flowers for the house, and even nurturing trees in the basement. Their dog Maggie was her constant shadow, following her around the house and yard, or the daily walks with her neighbor. Maggie was always up for a kayak ride with Sheila at the lake in Canada too.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 5 from 4-7PM at the funeral chapel (1031 Ridge Road, Webster). A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 6, 10:30AM at St. Rita Church, 1008 Maple Drive, Webster. Interment to follow at Webster Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Joyful Rescues (joyfulrescues.org) or St. Rita School (srswebster.org).
