Sheila Joy Ripberger passed away at Hickory Creek in Connersville on May 1, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born in Connersville, IN on December 21, 1939, one of two children of Russell and Dora Callahan Ripberger.
Sheila earned her bachelor's degree from Earlham College in Business and went on to work in the payroll department at Ford and its predecessors. She retired after 40 years of service. She enjoyed reading, crafting and making baskets. Sheila loved to spend time talking with her friends and family and taking care of her many cats throughout the years. Around Easter time she would donate Easter Lillies to area churches, including, Eastview Baptist, Springersville Christian and Liberty Church of Christ. She enjoyed visiting several local churches.
Her love and memories will be cherished by her nephew, Thomas (Sue) Ripberger and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James "Rudy" Ripberger and a nephew, Dennis Ripberger.
Funeral services for Sheila will be held at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Wednesday May 8, 2024 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Barbie officiating. Friends and family may gather from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service. Sheila will be laid to rest with her parents at Dale Cemetery.

Dear Sheila, may you be at peace, surrounded by your hundreds of kitties that you have raised and loved over the years. I am sure they had a receiving line to greet you. I am so glad I got to know you through GFWC Fayette County ESO.
