Sheila Rotan Obituary
Mrs. Sheila Stokes Rotan, 70, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 19th, 2025, while at home with her family.
Mrs. Rotan was born in Bishopville, a daughter of the late Gordan & Carolyn Hoffman Stokes. Sheila greatly enjoyed her work as a Cosmetologist with the Presbyterian Home of Florence and retired after many years of service. She enjoyed having company over and loved her family greatly. Sheila was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Donna Nutter; grandchildren: Noah Nutter, Cade Nutter, and Quinn Nutter; sister, Debra Grooms; nieces and nephews: Chastity Cox, Cammie Grooms, and Harley Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Rotan; son, Jason Chavis; and an aunt, Mildred Marshall.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 at the Wayside Baptist Church on Lee State Park Road, Bishopville. Rev. Jim Ridenhour and Rev. Luis Gargiulo will officiate. Burial will be in the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Anyone who would like to view Sheila and sign the register may do so on Friday from 8:30 until Noon.
