Sheila Diane Russell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sheila Diane Russell, who left us peacefully on July 27, 2025, at the age of 62. Born on February 6, 1963, in Gainesville, Florida. She lived in Perry, Florida, and was a graduate of Taylor County High School. Sheila worked for several years as a waitress at both Pouncey's and Difon's Restaurants. Sheila was known for her love of fishing, fish fry's, and playing cards. She also loved her dogs, what she referred to as her "fur babies", especially "Polly". She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Honeycutt and Virgie Ellison.
Sheila is survived by her loving spouse, Ricky Russell; her step-father, Danny Ellison, both of Perry; her son, Michael Stephens, of West Palm, FL; a sister, Dannielle Welch, and husband Scott, of Perry, and Dana Wasdin, and husband David, of Blackshear, GA; a brother, Henry Ellison, of Perry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry, with Bro. Ben Kimmel officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
