Sheila Windischman of Prospect, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on November 19, 2025. Born October 12, 1949, in Waterbury, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Cecile (Gagnon) Lavallee. Sheila devoted her life to caring for others- both as a dedicated nurse and as the center of her family; her compassion, strength, and gentle kindness touched countless lives.
Sheila is lovingly remembered by her husband, Skip, her son, Jeff, and his wife, Heidi, and her daughter, Sara, as well as her grandchildren: Amanda and her husband, Paul, Sam and her husband, Jose, Jeffrey and Bailey. Sheila also leaves her cherished great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Ari. She was also blessed with two bonus granddaughters, Jessica and Jamie Edwards.
Arrangements: Visitation, Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5pm to 6:30pm at Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements and to care for the Windischman family throughout their grief journey.
