Shelby Croutcher Obituary
Shelby was born to the late Hattie (Whitaker), and Jessie Croutcher in Richmond, KY. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran, retired from AT&T and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon (Longaker) Croutcher; children, Shawn Croutcher, Shelley Snow (Billy Cravens), Steven Croutcher, and Seth Croutcher; grandchildren, Jacob and Ashley Snow, and Allie Croutcher, and honorary grandchildren, Daniel (Calley), Dawson (Amanda), and Hannah Cravens.
His funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Knights of Columbus or the charity of donor's choice.

Sharon and family, We were so sad to hear of Shelby´s passing- he fought the good fight- now he rests in arms of angels. We will always remember him from the many family get togethers and his wonderful sense of humor and kind heart. We will be sorely missed by both family and friends- yet celebrated for a life well lived. RIP Shelby- you were loved by many. mark and Betty and I am sure we speak for the rest of the Richards clan
