It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shelby Jean Sipsy, age 80, of Dallas, GA, who passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Born on March 18, 1945, in Powder Springs, Georgia, Shelby was a beloved daughter, a devoted mother, and a warm-hearted friend to many.
A proud 1963 graduate of Osborne High School, Shelby embraced her role as a homemaker, cherishing the moments spent nurturing her children. Her spirit shone brightest in her roles as mother to Pam, Wayne, and David, where she instilled love and kindness in their hearts. Shelby was never one to shy away from connection, often found chatting on the phone or sharing hearty laughter with neighbors and friends. Her love of life was evident as she enjoyed outings to eat and indulged in her favorite pastime-watching The Golden Girls-while savoring the joys of friendship portrayed on screen.
Shelby had a knack for making everyone feel welcome; she found joy in her role as a Walmart greeter, where her smile brightened the days of those around her. Her dedication to family and community will be lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Shelby is survived by her daughter, Pam Norton; her sons, Wayne and David Norton, and his wife, Cathy; and her brother, Robert Norton. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and laughter, threading through the lives of her family and friends.
In honor of Shelby's life, a graveside service will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta, GA.
Clark Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the service for Mrs. Shelby Jean Sipsy.
