Sheldon Shore Obituary

Sheldon was born June 27, 1948 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada the son of Ben and Fanny Zaitlen Shore. He was married to Kristin Kalberer-Shore until her death in 2002. He married Betty Gregory in 2013. She survives.
Sheldon graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine in 1972. He completed his residency at the University of Saskatchewan Hospital in 1975, and went on to complete his Dermatology residency at the Hahnemann University Hospital in 1978. Dr. Shore was a Board Certified dermatologist.
After completing his residencies, Sheldon practiced in Maryland, and he also served as an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University. He moved to Quincy in 1995 and joined the Quincy Medical Group, practicing until his retirement in 2018. Sheldon is one of the authors of a medical paper on a rare type of melanoma that will be published in the future. Throughout his career as a doctor, Sheldon took extra steps to save lives and help his patients. He genuinely cared for people, and took the time necessary to properly treat and care for the patients under his care.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Shore of Quincy; a daughter, Samantha "Annie" Shore of Seattle, WA; a step-daughter, Michelle Wright of Quincy; a step-granddaughter, Suzanne (Alex) Rossiter of Quincy; a step-great-grandson, Tatum Rossiter; a brother, Dr. Ronald "Ron" Shore of Potomac, MD; and two nieces, Janine Shore of Rockville, MD; and Briana Shore of Potomac, MD.
Sheldon was preceded in death by his first wife, Kristin Kalberer-Shore, and his parents.
Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Please wear a mask if you plan to attend the visitation.
Services: 6:00 pm on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Dr. Michael Bukstein officiating. Please wear a mask if you plan to attend the service.
