Skip showed up in my life when I was just 6 years old. He worked as a counselor and instructor for a boy's day camp held at the old Fenwick Club. My father, Dick Fraley, was the Athletic Director there and he hired Skip. Skip always had a lot of positive energy, a smile on his face, and a great sense of humor. He was a great instructor of wrestling, tumbling, and judo. Skip and his cohort of instructors, guys like Pat King, James Summe, Ed Fisher, and Jimmy Simon were guys of that age that I looked up to and learned from. Many a great night of joking and beers were had with that crew at my families home.

Dad and Skip were life long friends and as I became an adult Skip sold me my first insurance policy. We became friends as well and I trusted him and liked him very much. I admired his persistence, honesty, and dedication to his work and family. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, he was a truly good man and he will be sorely missed by those who loved him.
