Shelia Henson, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, on November 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1955, in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Howard and Elaine Nance.
Shelia was a smart and caring woman who dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She loved her work and took great pride in helping those in need. Outside of her profession, Shelia found joy in the simple things that made life beautiful — crocheting, gardening, and cooking. Her fried chicken and roast were family favorites, and her green thumb brought countless blooms to life, especially her beloved rose bushes.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Shelia’s heart was always with her family. She shared an unbreakable bond with her daughter, Mary Beth, and treasured every moment spent with her grandsons. She enjoyed watching the QVC channel, often finding little treasures to share with loved ones. A faithful member of Halls Chapel Church of Christ, Shelia lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service.
She was married for 49 wonderful years to her loving husband, Danny Ray “Rabbi” Henson, and is now reunited with him in eternal peace.
Shelia is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth (Brandon) Johnson; grandsons, Jacob (Maycee Hammons) Johnson, Landon (Kallie Ross) Johnson, and Collin Johnson; siblings, Bill Nance, Jim Nance, and Cheryl Middleton; sister-in-laws, Prissy Nance, Patricia (Arnold) Grooms, Debra (Chris “Boo”) Boshers, and Shirley Brown; and brother in law: Jimmy “Boo” (Valerie) Henson; special nieces, Misty Shrader and Lynn Shrum; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray “Rabbi” Henson; her parents, Howard and Elaine Nance; and her brother, Timmy Nance.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Randy McNeece officiating. Shelia will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens, beside her beloved husband.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Johnson, Landon Johnson, Collin Johnson, Dean Johnson, Blake Henson, Dillon Scott, and Gavin Shrader. Honorary pallbearers include Wayne Dugger, Harlie Shrader, Jimmy “Boo” Henson, Calvin Johnson, Arnold Grooms, Christopher “Boo” Boshers, Phillip Grooms, Jason Grooms, Cody Henson, and Jared Mobbs.
