Shelly Kosiba

Shelly Ann Palka Kosiba, age 54 of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she had lived in Sayreville for the past 30 years. Before her retirement, Shelly worked as a senior manager business accountant with MetLife Insurance in Iselin for many years. She loved spending time at the beach with her family, whether it was at their shore house in Wildwood Crest or on an island in the Caribbean.

She is predeceased by her mother Frances Palka and her sister Christina Laughlin.

Surviving are her loving husband of 28 years Kenneth, her beloved sons Kenneth and Chase, her father Stephen Palka, her cherished puppy Bella, her nephew Colin Laughlin, her nieces Alexa Laughlin and Cortney Palka and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.

Calling hours at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin will be Monday from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral services will be Tuesday 8:30am from the funeral home with a 10:00am Mass at St. Mary's Church in Rahway. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
