Sherlyn Mays "Sherry" Smith

Sherlyn "Sherry" Mays Smith, 75, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Myrtle Mays.

Sherry is survived by her husband Robert Smith Sr.; children, Julia Ann Huffman, Ellen Sue Cabaniss and husband Steve, and Robert A. Smith Jr. (Robbie) and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Kimberly Portillo, Alexis Huffman, Stephen Cabaniss and wife Samantha, Amber Cabaniss, Madison Smith, Morgan Smith, and Logan Smith; 9 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Sparks and husband James "Bud"; sisters-in-law, Romia Smith, Cora Smith, Tammy Smith, Clair Spradlin and husband Warren; brothers-in-law, Joseph Elmer Smith, Ralph Smith, and Willis Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 2 pm at Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Chapel. Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
