Sherman Britten Obituary
77, of St. Petersburg, Florida, peacefully transitioned on January 6, 2026. He is preceded in death by wife, Catherine Britten He is survived by his devoted sons, Sherman Jr. (Sonja), Terrence (Dewana), Mark (Rhasheka), Eric, Shermon, Kurtys, and Ckreasue; and his loving daughters, Nedra (Michael), Tonya, Makeba, Tamika, and Shermett. He is also survived by his brothers, Norman (Bonita) and Michael; his sisters, Faye and Loretta; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at St. Mark Missionary Church, 1301 37th Street South, St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 17, 2026 at 1 pm. Viewing will take place at the church from 11 am until service time.

I have known Sherman and his family since I was 7 years of age and the Britten family are a great family. Bothe the twins were always respectful to me and my family. I pray that they will allow GOD to ease their pain and comfort them as only HE can. Sherman was a sensitive soul and very funny person when you got to know him. May you have a great celebration of his life. Heartfelt condolences to his family from the Harris family from 21st St neighborhood.
