I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one, who will be remembered for his invention that millions of people have fell in love with. May you find comfort and strength in God during this time of mourning.

A celebration of life will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20, at the Hilt Building in downtown Muskegon. Remarks begin at 5:30 p.m.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Fondly I recall Sherm as a fellow NROTC classmate for four years at Northwestern University. He was a fun guy we all enjoyed knowing, especially on US Navy cruises each summer. We lost touch after commissioning but I'm thrilled to learn of his family's successful snowboard experience. Well done Sherm!

Dear Louise and family, We were so very sad to read about Sherm's passing. We send you our deepest sympathy and many loving memories of our times together in Steamboat Springs, all the joy and happiness he brought to his friends and neighbors, and how much fun we all had together on the ski mountain and at the "Over the Hill Gang" dinners and events.
