Sheron Kaplan

Sheron Hollifield Kaplan, age 63, of Doc Howell Road in Little Switzerland, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025 at her home.
Born on August 10, 1962 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Richard and Lillie Mae Coffey Hollifield. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jeffrey Kaplan and a son, David Thomas Bell.
Sheron served as the cafeteria manager at Henredon Furniture in Spruce Pine for ten plus years. She enjoyed collecting items from her world travels that included; China, Pakistan, Hungary, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Germany. She loved being a Mom and taking care of her family.
Left to cherish her memories are her son; Luke Robinson and wife, Jodi of Bakersville, her brothers; Tim Hollifield and wife, Kathey of Little Switzerland and Chris Hollifield of Pensacola, FL, and her furry friend, Amal.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Revs. Matt Woody and Luke Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the church, located at 1029 Chestnut Grove Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 287777
