Ms. Dumpy, Mama, Memaw, maw, or Grandma. Whichever you knew her by; you were absolutely sure of who she was. On the day of Friday, September 19,1941 in the town of Kissimmee, Florida Parents Leslie and Verda Jones welcomed their 3'rd of 6 children into the world which includes, Sister Doris Carolyn B.7/22/1936 D.7/1984. Sister Ruby Arlene B.5/26/1939 D.12/18/2020. Sister Sandy B.8/1/1946 D.9/7/2007. Brother Leslie B.5/20/1950 D.11/20/2007. And Brother James David B.8/1/1951 D.1/16/1965. On the day of Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the town of Davenport, Florida our Lord and Savior welcomed her into his loving arms and took her home. She was surrounded by loved ones as she passed.

As a child Sheron grew up playing and helping her mother with her younger siblings, already showing her motherly instincts. It is plausible to say, this is what led her to become such an amazing caregiver in her community. She attended Osceola High School and earned certifications in Child Care, first aid and first responder as well as all state and local requirements. Sheron began her decades long career in raising generations of neighborhood children as a full time Daycare. She loved each and every child like her own and always thought about them, oftentimes keeping in touch throughout their lives.

Sheron married on November 21, 1960, and welcomed her own 4 beautiful children into the world. Brenda Lee 63, Joseph Leslie 61, Merle Anthony 55, and William Shane 54. Sheron raised her family up in the ways of the Lord, being a saved and baptized child of God. She joined and became an Honorary member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. Her strong morals, dedication and unwavering faith led her to being a respected voice among the leaders and a pillar of the church. Sheron loved to sing God's praises as a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Choir. She taught Bible school, helped in the kitchen and loved being in Children's Church watching the babies. She also volunteered for every event they held, baked and cooked for Holiday dinners, and hosted women's bible studies. Sheron always made sure to bring something homemade and delicious to the loved ones of someone who had passed, not ever wanting anyone to go without, knowing it's the least she could do. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sheron loved children so much, she was blessed with 6 grandchildren! Son of Brenda and stepdad Timmy, Joshua Lee 41 and his wife, Shanee` 40. Daughter of Andy, Krysten Denise 36 and her husband, Dustin 39. Daughter of Andy, Kyndra Deann 34. Daughter of Andy, Sypriss Nicole 28. Daughter and Son of Andy and his wife, Krystal 44, Daisy Leanne 19 and Wyatt Anthony 13. A bonus stepdaughter of Buddy and his wife, Sherri 61, Josie N. 38. A bonus stepson of Andy and his wife Krystal, Frank 27.

Sheron was also blissfully blessed with 5 great grandchildren! Daughter of Sypriss, Paislee Marie 7. Son and Daughter of Josh and Shanee`, Daemyn Wallace 11 and Lynnlee Rose 6. Son and Daughter of Krysten and Dustin, Waylen James 5 and Witley Grace 3. A bonus Grand Son and Daughter of Buddy and his wife Sherri, Chason H. 20 and Caydence H. 18. A bonus grand Son and Daughter of Shane and his wife Stacy 57, Liam 15 and Aliyah 12. A bonus Son of Frank and Heather 33, William 6 months.

As Sheron's legacy lives on through each one of her family and friends' memorable encounters they shared with her through the years, we will cherish and hold them close forever. We will pass the knowledge and insight she bestowed on us, albeit as highly opinionated, and very bluntly put at times but also so very true, down to our offspring letting them know exactly how 'Memaw would have done it!'

To all her friends near and far throughout her lifetime, thank you for your friendship, love and support like only a friend could do. To all her family, she is looking down on you all with smiles, love, and approval. You were her life. Do not ever forget it.

For everyone, know in your hearts that she was met at the pearly gates by loved ones and is rejoicing. She is at last in peace in the presence of our Lord God. She's walking the streets of gold with Jesus and finally able to commune with her God while sitting in her mansion He has built for her. You are missed so much already. We love you always and forever.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4 KJV

Although there are more than we can count, we would each like to share with you our most favorite memory in our own words.

"My most precious moments with my mama were the last month after she came home from rehab. We made some good memories that I will cherish forever. 'There's not a day goes by that I don't see you, You live on in all the better parts of me, Until I'm standing with you in the sun, I'll fight this fight and this race I'll run, Until I finally see what you can see'."~Love you sweet mama.

Your daughter Brenda

"My favorite memory of mom is hearing her sing or hum a gospel song when she hung clothes out on the clothesline. And that she loved me and tried to take care of me through the toughest time of my life when nobody else loved me or could love me."~Andy

"One of my favorite memories with Meamaw is when she would come over and spend a few nights with us and show me how to cook some of her dishes she liked to make. >3 And the Christmas Eves that she would come so she could wake up on Christmas morning with us. >3 One thing I'm sure of is I'll see her again!"~Love you Memaw! ~Krystal "The best memories and feelings I have of Meemaw is the way she smiled at me in those special moments, when she was letting me know how proud she was that her son was being well cared for. It meant more to me knowing she was glad that I was part of their family. After the years on her knees in prayers for her son's, she knew her sons were in church and had Wifes that took care of them. Her heart was her family and extended family!"~Stacy daughter in law, wife to Shane.

"My favorite memories of memaw were the ones where I got her to joke and laugh with me. We had an ongoing, very personal joke stemming from when my daughter was born and although there was an accident that occurred at the place we were renting that ultimately lead us to not being able to go home for 2 weeks, we were blessed with her grace and kindness. She opened her house, and her bedroom to us while we adjusted to having a newborn and a 5-year?old. Quite often I would be breastfeeding my daughter, or in the middle of a pumping session as she was coming in the room to retrieve something she needed. She would jump, covering her eyes and say 'Oh! I'm so sorry!' Then not missing a beat, 'you've always got them things out!' As the years went on, if no one was around, I would quickly lift my shirt (wearing undergarments of course) when she looked my way and laughingly say, 'just in case you missed seeing them, it's been a while!' She always reacted the same way, cover her eyes, laugh and say, 'Oh! Your crazy girl!' Followed up with, 'What does your husband think when you do that?' Then we would both laugh at how silly it was. My husband one time answered her and said, 'I think it's pretty cool" while giggling. She gave him a playful smile and an air wave saying 'Joshua' as she blushed. I will forever remember your playful side and how I eventually got you to be just as silly, something that not a lot of people were able to experience."~Love Forever and Always, Shanee`

"It's honestly hard to pick just one memory of Memaw – there's too many. She was such a big part of our lives, always taking care of us more than she probably should've had to, but that's just who she was. She had a big heart, and she never let us go without. Some of my favorite memories are the simple ones. She used to take us to the video store to pick out movies, and then we'd head over to the ice cream shop like it was some big outing. And to us, it was. I remember her sitting out in the yard, watching my sister and other kids and I run around. She always had something to say – her opinions weren't always the easiest to hear, but they were hers, and you couldn't help but love her for it. She made me a birthday cake every year, always homemade. Even when she started forgetting the actual day in her older years, she'd still remember eventually – I'd get a voicemail a few days later, half-apology, half-laugh, and always 100% her. I listen to them now just to hear her voice again. Memaw wasn't fancy, and she didn't sugarcoat things, but she loved us hard and with everything she had. I see little pieces of her in so many things – in the way I talk, the way I cook, and the way I love my people. I'll carry her with me always."~Kyndra

"My favorite memory is being with Memaw, obviously! Spending the night and getting to spend time with her one on one. She taught me to sing Amazing Grace when I was only 2."~Love Daemyn

"My first time meeting Aunt Dumpy was 42 years ago at her mom's birthday party. She put her crooked little finger in my face and told me I better take care of her Jimmy. A couple of years ago I reminded her of this and that I kept my promise and took care of her Jimmy. I have loved her ever since. Enjoy Heaven Aunt Dumpy."~Love Kathy G.

I have many memories of Ms. Dumpy over many years.
She's one of my Mommas(Eva Merle) closest friends.
She was the first person to come to us when our house burned down and right away started making calls to get the kids and I some clothes.
I had much respect for her and her love of God.
She always gave out the Mother's Day gifts at church and gave them to me for being the youngest Mother for a few years and gave all 3 of my children their first Bibles.
I had the honor to stand beside her at church and sing those beautiful gospel songs sometimes, loved those days.
You will be missed, give my sweet little Momma a BIG hug from me and enjoy Heaven together.

We met her a few times when your dad and her came to our church. Such a sweet lady. She always wanted to testify. Heaven will be sweeter. Elaine & Larry Gerstman
