Sherrie Witte Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Huber Funeral Home - Mound Chapel on Jan. 9, 2026.
Sherrie Lynn Witte, 51 of Minnetrista. Survived by husband Aaron of 27 years; son, Jack and daughters, Morgan & Madeline; parents, Roger & Janice (Schleif) Weaver; parents-in-law, Herman & Rosie Witte; sister, Lisa (Howard) Broughton; niece, Jenna Sanchez; brother-in-law, Ryan (Amy) Witte; nephew, Dylan Witte; sister-in-law, Kayla Witte. Preceded in death by nephew Derrick Witte.

Sherrie was born on May 13, 1974, in Edina, Minnesota, the beloved daughter of Roger and Jan

(Schleif) Weaver. She attended Bloomington Jefferson High School, where she was an active

and enthusiastic member of the school's show choir, Connection, graduating in 1992. Music,

teamwork, and performance brought her great pride and formed relationships that would last

throughout her lifetime. She continued her education at Concordia University, St. Paul, where

she met her husband, Aaron. Sherrie graduated in 1996 with a degree in Business and

Corporate Communications.

For more than two decades, Sherrie built a meaningful career serving families and corporate

clients through her roles at Sirva, Plus Relocation, and most recently NEI Global Relocation,

where she worked as a Client Relations Manager. Her work touched the lives of countless

employees and families, helping ease the stress of major life transitions through her thoughtful

communication, deep empathy, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She was widely

respected for her professionalism, compassion, and steady leadership within a fast-paced

industry.

Above all else, Sherrie was a devoted wife of 27 years and a loving mother to 3 children. She

was deeply involved in their lives and activities, enthusiastically supporting multiple sports but

her favorite was dance. Sherrie took great pride in being a "Dance Mom" in every sense of the

word. She cherished the competitions, enjoyed helping organize people and events, and valued

most the lasting friendships formed over those 16 years, many of which have continued long

after the final competition.

In her limited leisure time, Sherrie treasured her daily conversations with her sister, Lisa, whose

guidance and influence were a constant source of strength in her life. She found great joy in

scrapbooking, often creating alongside close friends. She had a special gift for making her

home feel beautiful and welcoming especially during the holidays, when she always added a

new handmade touch. Time spent with friends and neighbors was among her greatest

pleasures, and she deeply cherished the relationships and memories she shared with those

around her.

Sherrie also had a deep love for animals, especially her three beloved cats, Boo, George, and

Benny, who brought her endless joy and comfort. She was passionate about animal adoption

and had a generous heart for helping abandoned cats find loving homes within her community.

This compassion for animals was inspired by her mother, Jan, who shared the same deep

connection and taught Sherrie the importance of kindness and care for all living creatures.

Sherrie's greatest legacy lives on through her devoted husband and her three children, who

were the center of her world and the source of her greatest pride. She gave her family a lifetime

of love, strength, support, and lessons that will continue to guide them every day. Her love and

influence will be carried forward in moments of kindness, connection, and care – just as she

lived every day.

I am very sorry for your loss! Take care of yourself. I remember Sherrie at our church and at dance. She was very friendly to me.

I am so sorry for your loss. My brother was in connection with her and I have many fun memories. I grew up with her smiles, and I am deeply sorry for the loss of someone so amazing.
