Sherry L. Apple, age 77 of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 18, 2025.
She was born on July 23, 1947, in Miamisburg, Ohio, to the late Hershel and Gladys (James) Hart; she is also preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Apple, whom she married on June 20, 1970, and who passed away on November 1, 2014.
Sherry is survived by her children, Tammy (Chris) Lovett of Arcanum and Robert Apple of Greenville; her grandchildren, Steve (Miranda) Lovett, Ashley Asbury, Jamison (Ashley) Lovett, Allan (Dani) Lovett, Bryce (Ariel) Lovett, and Jayce Lovett; her 12 great grandchildren; and her brother, James (Helen) Hart of Centerville.
Sherry found great joy and fulfillment in her work, serving at Faith Baptist Church as a secretary in Greenville and later as a Systems Manager at Meijer in Englewood.
An avid NASCAR fan, Sherry shared countless adventures with her husband, traveling the country to visit racing tracks, creating memories that would last a lifetime. She also had a tender passion for gardening, where she nurtured beautiful flowers that reflected her vibrant spirit. A gifted crocheter, Sherry created many lovingly handcrafted blankets that will be treasured by her family for years to come. In her spare time, she found joy and excitement between the pages of a good book.
Sherry's warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and zest for life.
A private burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles.
Memorial contributions may be given to Ohio Hospice of Dayton.
