Sherry Snead Beusse, born on September 16, 1939, in Elberton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2024, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, Sherry lived a life full of joy, compassion, and activity.
Sherry enjoyed a variety of hobbies that kept her vibrant and engaged throughout her life. She had a passion for golf, reading, ballroom dancing, running, and walking. Her love for these activities brought her great happiness and a wealth of cherished memories.
Professionally, Sherry dedicated many years as a court clerk at Dekalb County Juvenile Court before retiring. She was known for her dedication, attention to detail, and the kindness she showed to everyone she worked with.
A devoted Methodist, Sherry was deeply involved in her church community, forming lasting friendships and contributing positively to the lives of those around her. Her social nature led her to participate in numerous groups, including dancing clubs, Curves exercise groups, golf circles, and her beloved church friends.
Sherry was a loving wife and mother who cherished her family above all else. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Horace Beusse; her mother, Louise Snead; her father, James Snead, Sr.; and her brother, James Snead, Jr.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by her son Michael Turner; twin daughters Janet Turner and Janice Turner; son Douglas Turner and his wife Kathy; granddaughters Melissa Flowers (husband Nehemiah) and Katie Turner; and great-grandchildren Ava, Reign, and Oakley. Sherry's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially during gatherings that brought everyone together.
In accordance with her wishes, the family will spread the ashes of Sherry and Horace at a later date, honoring their lives and love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local cat rescue or animal shelter, reflecting Sherry's love for animals.
