Sherry Lynn Burton

Sherry Lynn Burton, 77, of Ashland went home to be with the Lord, Friday November 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at UK Kings Daughters Medical Center.

She was born June 14, 1948, in Vanceburg, KY, the daughter of the late Edgar Ray and Katherine Leona Tolle McAdams.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Bates; four brothers, Daniel McAdams, Anthony McAdams, Timothy McAdams, James McAdams and a sister, Raeann Howard.

Her greatest gift was her family and loved to travel and spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sherry had a green thumb who carefully took care of her plants and cacti, loved to make salsa and hot kraut. She enjoyed visiting the House of Grace.

Survivors include two daughters, Sybrenia (Ray Hagley) Burton of Ironton, OH and Maria (Randy Kinnard) Burton of Culloden, WV; one brother, John McAdams of Iron River, MI; four sisters, Regina (Mark) Carol of Ashland, Pauletta Logan of Hillsdale, MI. Lanny McAdams of Tollsboro, KY and Twylla James of Greenup, KY; four grandchildren, Charity Williams of Ashland, Stephen Keffer of Grayson, Zac (Andrea) Bates of Carmel IN and Owen (Mattie) Blevins of Ashland; five great grandchildren, Dayshia McCloud, Daneyah McCloud, Kyrian Keffer, Rosallie Bates and Louisa Bates; one step son, Steve Allen Burton of Paintsville, KY.

Funeral services will be held 6:00 PM Thursday December 4, 2025, at the STEEN FUNERAL HOME, CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL by Jessie James. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
