Sherry Janice Camden of Loxley, Alabama passed away March 24, 2025 at the young age of 80. She was born on June 30, 1944 in Iron Mountain, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Edna (Henson) Jones.
On March 13, 1965 she was united in marriage to Stoney Lee Camden from Graniteville, Missouri who proceeded her in death on June 5, 2012. They were married for forty-eight wonderful years.
They were parents to two sons: Brian Scott Camden of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri and fiancé, Lisa Michelle Byrd of Saint Genevieve, Missouri and Stoney Lee Camden II formerly of Rolla, Missouri who preceded her in death.
Sherry is survived by three sisters: Karen Childers of Desloge, Missouri, Donna Martin of Springfield, Missouri, and Patsy McAuliffe and her husband Pat McAuliffe of Foley, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Jones who was from Park Hills, Missouri.
She has four grandsons: Stoney Lee Camden III who proceeded her in death, Nick Camden, Josh Camden, and Devin Camden; four great granddaughters: Kaylee Camden, Gemma Camden, Willow Camden, and Rose Camden and two great grandsons: Carter Camden and Wyatt Camden as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She loved being outdoors, especially working in her yard and loved gardening and growing flowers and plants. Her yard was amazing, and she spent many hours enjoying it. She was also a huge fan of the Bee Gees. She attended the Iron Mountain Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Canterberry officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bryson Funeral Home. Sherry will be laid to rest in Layne Cemetery with her husband, Stoney. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
