She was my favorite teacher at SCS. She always had an encouraging word to give, but at the same time never let me get away with anything but my best. I´m thankful for her impact in my life. Mrs. Campbell, rest with Jesus.

It´s taken me a while to "tackle" this writing remembrances of Sherry. I can´t add anything new to her qualities-they´ve been well documented. I do know that life´s landscape has changed a little without her. I´ve known her for so many years, and Sonny before me, but I became so much closer to her in her "Parkinson´s years." She shared emotions about the disease (she realized that it cost her dearly) and we prayed together about mutual struggles. She certainly faced it with a purpose and was a stubborn fighter and did not allow it to weaken her faith in God. I was honored to help her with some of her projects-I just never knew which one it would be when I went to visit. One thing she maintained over the years was her humor, whether it was Sonny´s kidding her about her "drapery dress" or her continuing smile the last visit I had with her-it was easy to make her laugh! This last visit hours before her mini stroke was one I´ll cherish. May God bless her legacy.

An outstanding teacher and precious Christian, Sherry will be missed by all who knew her. We were so fortunate to have a child in her class at SCS who is now a history teacher herself of 100 seventh graders in South Carolina. Praise be to God for heroes such as this who will teach our children without concern for compensation.
