Sherry A. Davidson, 80, of Las Animas, Colorado, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Bluestem Village in La Junta, surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was born April 14, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert & Mildred (Bassett) Lyons.
Sherry graduated from La Junta High School in 1963 before attending OJC, where she proudly earned her Associate’s Degree. She went on to work as a secretary for Grimsley & White CPA firm, dedicating 15 years to serving clients with her dependable work ethic and warm spirit.
On November 12, 1981, Sherry married the love of her life, John Davidson. They shared 33 joyful years together filled with laughter, adventure, and devotion. John preceded her in death on February 16, 2015. Together, they were among the earliest attendees of Seed and Supply Church, where Sherry remained an active and faithful member throughout her life. She treasured her time in Bible Study, P.E.O. and especially her bowling team, where her competitive spirit and camaraderie shined.
Sherry and John loved traveling with friends, camping with family, and embracing ranch life. Sherry was known for her unwavering faith, her selfless heart and her endless generosity toward those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sherry is survived by her children, Carrie (Randy) Babb of Colorado Springs, CO; Tonya (Boyd Bender) Davidson of Las Animas, CO; and John Bradley Davidson of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Luke (Aimee) Babb, Wyatt (Kaelina) Babb, Lindsey (Kole) Cerjan, Hailey (Dacoda) Craney, Broc Bender, and Hannah Bender; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Aiden & Blake Babb; Raylan & Vaneece Babb; and Blane Craney; brother, Tom Lyons; and brother-in-law, Robert (Brenda) Davidson; numerous cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Davidson; and her parents, Robert & Mildred Lyons.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Las Animas Community Building, (1214 Ambassador Thompson Blvd; Las Animas, CO 81054) with Rod Coulter of Seed and Supply Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Seed and Supply Church, P.O. Box 111, Las Animas, CO 81054.
