A Remembrance Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maine Prairie Cemetery, Kimball.
Sherry Gladys Loch was born July 4, 1950, in Houston, Texas to James and Lola Mae (Green) Combs. She grew up in Pueblo, Colorado, where she attended school. She obtained her GED in 1969. On March 3, 1971, she was united in marriage to Michael Loch in Pueblo. Shortly after their wedding, they moved to Minnesota. In 1977, Sherry and Mike made their family complete with the adoption of their son, James, when he was 4 1/2 months old. As a family, they made their home near Kimball. Over the years, Sherry worked as a manager for the Kimball American Legion, as well as the Kimball Mini-Mart and the Maple Lake American Legion; she loved being around people! Her favorite "job" though was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
In her spare time, Sherry enjoyed crafting and her supplies were endless! She liked to try her luck at the casino, or playing scratch-offs, bingo, and pull tabs. Sherry's greatest enjoyment was being in the presence of her family, especially with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kim (Keith) Voigt of Kimball; grandchildren, Krista, Matthew, Maleah, Joshua, and Carly Loch; 2 bonus grandchildren, George and Julia Voigt; 2 brothers, Fred Combs and Warren (Christi) Combs; half-siblings, Celeste Conaway, Karron (Clifford) Herbst, Shelia Mitchell, Michael Meaves; brothers-in-law, Greg (Joni) Loch and Jack (Carol) Loch; and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Lola Mae; stepmother, Irene Combs; husband, Michael; son, James; brother, James P.; and half-siblings, Leonard and Patricia.
Kim Voigt and Krista, Matthew, Maleah, Joshua, and Carly Loch will serve as urn bearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Kimball.
