Sherry Lee (Dewey) Marketti, a beacon of joy and adventure, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, in her beloved home in
Columbiaville, Michigan. Born on January 17, 1951, Sherry's life was a tapestry of love, creativity, and zest for life that touched everyone she knew.
Sherry's journey began as the cherished daughter of Edsel "Doc" and Marilyn Dewey, who preceded her in death. Her spirit of generosity and passion was kindled in the warmth of her family's love. She carried this light into her own family when she married her loving husband, David. Together, they built a life rich with laughter and shared dreams.
Sherry's legacy lives on through her children: Audra (Dave) Boughan, Gena (Kevin) Garza, Lania (Clint) Payne, and Justin (Alice) Marketti. Each of them carries a spark of her adventurous soul. She's also survived by her brother, Mark Dewey. Sherry is preceded in death by her brothers Rusty Dewey and Mike Dewey.
Sherry's life was embellished with the joyous echoes of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the heart of every family gathering. Sherry's love for her family was her guiding star, leading her to create unforgettable moments-from camping trips to big holiday celebrations and serene days spent at her cabin in Tennessee.
An avid seamstress, Sherry wove her creativity into beautiful garments and quilts, each stitch a testament to her meticulous care and artistry. Her passion for collecting old cars was not just a hobby but a journey through time. Sherry's love for the outdoors was evident in her simple pleasures, like walking with her three cherished chihuahuas in a vintage cart or swimming in her pond. These moments of tranquility were the breaths of fresh air in her vivacious life.
As we bid Farwell to Sherry Lee Marketti, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, a journey marked by the joy of discovery and the warmth of human connection. Her story does not end here, for it is carried forward in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. Sherry's memory will forever be a guiding light, a reminder to cherish every moment and to live with the same boundless enthusiasm that she shared with the world.
