Sherry Lynne Mowery

Sherry Lynne Mowery, age 50, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her home in Gillette of unknown causes. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gillette Memorial Chapel, with Kenna Lou Rose officiating. Sherry Mowery was born January 13, 1962 in Basin, Wyoming to Melvin and Betty (Hallcroft) Winterholler. She attended Basin schools and graduated from Basin High School in 1980. After graduation she lived in Jackson and Portland, Oregon, before moving to Gillette in 2003. Most of her time was devoted to raising her children. She enjoyed reading, especially about Amish culture, listening to the music of Frank Sinatra and Patsy Cline and cooking. She was a cat lover and owner of two. Sherry is survived by her sons: Michael Mayville of Gillette, Wyoming and Stewart Mowery of Rapid City, South Dakota; her brother, Michael Winterholler (Coleen) of Gillette, Wyoming; her sisters: Janet Tharp (Terry) of Gillette, Wyoming and Peggy Lishner (Ron) of Littleton, Colorado; and a grandson, Zakk Mayville. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Benjamin Roice. Her ashes will be interred in Basin at a later date.
